We pride ourselves on the high quality of our award winning lunchtime menu. Our meal choices are balanced and change depending on the season. All children at Thames View Infants eat from our lunchtime menu. For this term’s options, please click on the link below.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 in state funded Schools in England are eligible for Free School Meals. By registering for Free School meals for any child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 you can ensure your child’s school receives the additional funding for the Pupil Premium. If you are eligible, your application can raise an extra £1,320 for our School, paid by the Government, which we can use to fund additional teaching staff, extra tuition and after school activities.
Some children are reluctant eaters and very wary of new foods. We support these children to enjoy eating more and have a happier lunchtime.
We run a daily Lunch Club for a small group of children who present with such need. At Lunch Club children experience a range of different food types in a small and less hurried setting. We talk about food and extend children’s confidence when eating. We learn the name of foods and we teach children how to use a knife and fork correctly. It works well and we have a high success rate in developing children’s confidence when eating. We’ll need your support too, to mirror our routines during meal times at home.
If you feel that your child is a reluctant eater, talk to us. All children are different and individual needs can vary, but we may be able to help.
