We have a number of partnerships with local schools and businesses.
The Collaborative Partnership of Thames View Infant and Junior Schools
Thames View Infants and Thames View Juniors have worked together in a Collaborative Partnership for a number of years. Doing so has benefited our children and families tremendously over time. Both Schools have retained their own individual identities, but by having a close working relationship, we have improved transitions between Year 2 (TVI) and 3 (TVJ) and have become more ‘joined up’ in our thinking. Teachers, Leaders and Directors from Thames View Infants and Juniors work together closely so that all children passing through both schools benefit from a more equitable provision and have even more chances to succeed.
Work has included:
- Sharing Resources
- Improving learning across both settings
- Pooling expertise
- Running shared clubs for all pupils
- Greater consistency
- Common Policies
- A consistent approach to attendance procedures and leave within term time
Riverside Buddies
‘Riverside Buddies’ is part of a collaborative partnership between Riverside Secondary School and our Academy. Over 3 days a week, six Year 8 pupils attend our school to work alongside children. The older ‘buddies’ help our children complete numeracy and literacy activities on the PCs in school, which in turn, helps develop ICT skills for everyone concerned. The initiative is highly successful and has helped to raise standards in oracy too!
